More Jasper

the Jasper Journey

Last weekend we ventured into the Rockies. Spending the afternoon in Jasper ,we loved seeing a herd of elk walk right into town via the railway tracks ,where a train had to stop for them as they were busy sucking the salt off the tracks and later the side of the train. We started off with good weather but overnight it went into a cold snap and we found ourselves driving home in snowy conditions. We went past many cars that had spun off the road and ended up in snowy ditches. We passed a bus accident where 2 people were killed, but we just took our time . The scenery was amazing. That first view of the rockies is quite breathtaking.
