ELK ISLAND EXPLORING

ON THE HUNT FOR BISON WE FINALLY FOUND THEM ON THE ROADSIDE!

Around home

Gull lake is a small area near us that is very popular in summer we went for a drive .
The black tents near the pickups are portable ice fishing tents. We turned around as we were worried we would get bogged!! as we have once before on a lake.

Edmonton Museum (a must if you visit us)

Same weekend as our Oilers game we ventured to the Museum.

WEEKEND AT GULL LAKE

Gull Lake is about 10 minutes from our place people go camoing there. But we went for a Snowshoe on the lake before it thaws. John has borrowed snowshoes from the local high school and they have been lots of fun.
Photos of the wharf where boats will dock in summer. Our second car that John drives to worl.Going for a stroll around the lake and John and I try to take a self timer picture but he wasnt quick enough

Go the Oilers

I attended a food security conference and got chatting with the presenter,we went for coffee, her son lived in Australia and we chatted about the local hockey games john and I had been to in Red Deer . She then said she had season tickets to the Oilers and would we like to go the following weekend. ( Oilers tickets by the way cant be bought which is why we have mainly gone to local games.) We were very excited and went!!!!!
