Camped for a couple of days by a river in the town of Fairbanks(a small city)over the 4th July (the fireworks were unsuccessful because there is no nighttime which was interesting.Even though we were in the city we were entertained each afternoon and morning by a large beaver who fed,slapped his tail at neighbours dogs and frolicked in the water in front of our camp site ( unfortunately on the other side of the bank so photos not so good but a great experience for us.
We saw lots of sea planes(they use these for transport in the winter.
